FTN: Latest on Neymar, Ronaldo, Schmeichel and Mahrez
Neymar to Real Madrid
With rumours that Ronaldo is to leave Real Madrid this summer, the Spanish giants are looking at Brazilian star Neymar as his potential replacement. Reports claim that Madrid have made a £275m bid for Neymar, however, the club have not commented further as to whether he will join the club. Neymar only spent a season at PSG and a move to Madrid will already raise suspicions as to whether this was his plan all along.
Cristiano Ronaldo Out?
Reports say that Juventus are inching closer to completing the deal of five-time Balon d’Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo. Often branded as the greatest of all time, the Portuguese star could be on his way to Turin this summer. It is reported that Madrid are looking for around €100m, which Juventus have offered. However, Ronaldo is looking to be on the same wage structure as Neymar and Messi. Juventus are not prepared to meet those asks.
Kasper Schmeichel to Leave Leicester
After an excellent World Cup with Denmark and three phenomenal seasons at Leicester City, Kasper Schmeichel is now wanted by some of the biggest European clubs. Schmeichel was Leicester’s first choice keeper in their title-winning season. Reports suggest that Roma and Chelsea are interested in signing the Dane with Liverpool displaying their interest as well. Schmeichel is keen to be a club’s first choice keeper and with both Courtois and Allison rumoured to move away from their current clubs, Schmeichel could steal that starting spot.
Mahrez Saga Finally Over?
Riyad Mahrez could finally see his dream move to Manchester City completed this week. A fee is said to be agreed in the region of £60m. The Algerian has been linked with a move away from Leicester every window since their title-winning season. The winger was extremely unhappy after his winter move wasn’t completed. He is set to have his medical this week and the club to announce in the coming days.
