It has been a busy day in the Premier League as the transfer window shuts down. Last Word On Football aims to bring you a round-up of all the deals that have happened today in the Premier League, in the last transfer round-up of the summer.

Transfer Round-Up

Transfer Round-Up – Manchester City

Manchester City made their fifth summer signing for the first team. They announced the arrival of goalkeeper Scott Carson on a one-year loan from Derby County.

The 33-year-old will provide competition for fellow goalkeepers Ederson and Claudio Bravo. He made 30 appearances for Derby last season.

Tottenham Add Two Big Additions

Tottenham added two further signings to their squad on deadline day. They completed the signings of Giovani Lo Celso from Real Betis and Ryan Sessegnon from Fulham.

Lo Celso arrives on an initial loan deal at Tottenham. He was a key figure for Real Betis last season, he scored 14 goals and registered five assists in 39 appearances.

Ryan Sessegnon arrives on a permanent transfer from Fulham. The 19-year-old arrives at White Hart Lane with high expectations. Last season he scored two goals and grabbed six assists as Fulham were relegated.

Arsenal Bring In Kieran Tierney

Arsenal manager Unai Emery finally got his man. They have been pursuing a deal for left-back Kieran Tierney from Celtic and it was confirmed shortly before the deadline of 5 pm.

A product of Celtic’s academy, he made 26 appearances last season as Celtic romped to another SPL title.

Unai Emery said: “He’s a very talented player who will continue to improve.”

Two In At Brighton & Hove Albion

Brighton & Hove Albion rounded off their transfer window with two additions on deadline day.

19-year-old Romaric Yapi has signed a one-year deal at the Amex Stadium, arriving from French champions PSG. He will begin his Brighton career in their under-23 side.

The Seagulls also completed the signing of Aaron Mooy on a season-long loan. The 28-year-old scored was one of the bright sparks for Huddersfield as they were relegated from the Premier League.

Transfer Round-Up – Newcastle

Newcastle United were another Premier League club who signed two players on deadline day. They signed defender Emil Krafth and former player Andy Carroll on a free transfer.

Krafth arrives at St James’ Park from French side Amiens. The right-back made 35 appearances in Ligue 1 last season.

Andy Carroll joins Newcastle following his release from West Ham. He made just 12 appearances for the Hammers last season but failed to score.

Watford Break Club-Record Signing

Watford made it two signings in two days with the arrival of winger Ismaila Sarr.

The 21-year-old rose to fame last season as he impressed in Ligue 1 with Rennes. He scored 12 goals and registered eight assists in all competitions.

Sarr has signed a five-year deal at Vicarage Road.

West Ham Add Second Striker

West Ham added striker Albian Ajeti to their strike force. He will provide competition for Sebastien Haller.

The Swiss international was a key figure for his former club, Basel. Last season he scored 15 goals in all competitions as Basel finished second in the Swiss Super League.

Burnley Add Chelsea’s Danny Drinkwater

Burnley have announced the signing of Danny Drinkwater from Chelsea. He joins on loan until January.

The 29-year-old has failed to live up to the form he showed at Leicester. He will be hoping for better fortunes with a move away from Stamford Bridge.

Everton Finally Land A Winger

After a long pursuit of multiple targets, Everton have finally signed a winger. They have signed Alex Iwobi from Arsenal.

The Nigerian international was a key figure for Arsenal last season. He made 46 appearances in all competitions, registering five goals.

Leicester Sign Dennis Praet

Brendan Rodgers added yet another attacking midfielder to his squad. Leicester have confirmed the signing of Dennis Praet from Sampdoria.

During three years with the Italian outfit, he made 107 appearances. He has signed a five-year deal with Leicester City.
