Gary Bowyer has been feeling the pressure since a poor run of form has left Bradford City fans seething. The Bantams took a beating over the weekend, losing 3-0 to Mansfield Town. The Bradford fans had finally had enough and were audible in their objections. Gary Bowyer took the brunt of the fans’ anger, later stating in the post-match interview “I’m responsible for the picking of the team and the performances”. Bradford City take on Cheltenham Town just three days after the defeat against Mansfield and the players will need to make amends.

Bradford City Have the Chance to Redeem Themselves Against Cheltenham Town This Tuesday

Performances Have Been Worrying for the Bantams Who Are Teetering on the Edge of the Play-Offs

The result came as no shock to the City fans, who have grown in their discontent. The recent performances have been leading to this almighty crash. Sometime before the new year, results were masking the performances. A good spell of form had seen the Bantams sit near the automatic promotion spaces. However, recently the results have been going against them. The lack of quality this season is obvious and Bowyer looks no closer to figuring out how to make improve the team.

After the shocking news that Eoin Doyle and James Vaughan could be leaving Bradford City, in the January transfer window, Clayton Donaldson looks set to start after a lengthy injury. Cheltenham Town are looking forward to seeing former Leeds United striker Luke Varney return to the squad.

Cheltenham Sit Just Behind the Bantams but Have Two Games in Hand and Will Leap-Frog City If They Win

The game offers both teams a chance to sit in the play-off positions. Judging by form Cheltenham will be looking forward to playing Bradford City, as they tumble down the table. The home advantage will likely work against Bradford as the atmosphere will turn toxic at the first mistake. Barring a spectacular performance, Gary Bowyer’s position will continue to be questioned.
