Keeping Paul Pogba could help Manchester United in more ways than one, according to French football journalist, Julien Laurens.

Keeping Paul Pogba Could Help Manchester United in More Ways than One

Having a Star Player

The obvious reason to keep Pogba is to have a star player in their ranks. The Frenchman is a player of quality and one who can come up with something out of nothing. He can create chances that others can not and score goals too. Pogba demonstrated his ability extremely well last season, with 13 goals and 9 assists in the Premier League. He showed his strength and power, while also showing his class.

Overall, Pogba is a fantastic player, but with injuries having stunted his creating a good run of form at United, it has been difficult for the 27-year-old.

Convincing Others to Join

Just like the addition of Bruno Fernandes to the Manchester United squad may have convinced Pogba to stay, the Frenchman remaining at Old Trafford could have a similar effect.

Good players enjoy playing with other good players, and Pogba being one of the best midfielders in the world would attract a lot of interest from fellow footballers. One in particular who recently expressed their desire to play with him was Antoine Griezmann.

Griezmann Wants to Play With Paul Pogba at Manchester United

According to the report, Griezmann is attracted to United because of his France teammate Paul Pogba.

Griezmann moved to Barcelona after the Catalan giants met his £107 million release clause. Having joined with high expectations as one of the best strikers in the world, Griezmann has disappointed so far, scoring just 14 goals in 37 appearances across all competitions this season.

Griezmann could look to reignite his career elsewhere this summer and United, who are in the market for a striker, may look into him. He could be a great addition, however, he would likely want Pogba to be there, should he join the Red Devils.
