What the Report Said

Bild’s report stated that Bellingham’s signature is all that is missing to finalize the deal. However, they also admitted that the Coronavirus has put a spanner in the works, with Dortmund putting all business on ice until there can be more clarity over what the future holds.

Why does Jude Bellingham Relish a Move to Borussia Dortmund?

Borussia Dortmund are one of, if not the, best teams in the world for nurturing young talent.

The German outfit have shown their class in this field time and time again, with the likes of  Marco Reus and Christian Pulisic having gone through their academy.

More recently, both Erling Haaland and Jadon Sancho are thriving with BVB, scoring and assisting goals a-plenty; they are attracting interest from some of Europe’s most elite clubs. Among these, are Real Madrid, Barcelona, Manchester United, and Liverpool, however, almost every big club in the continent have expressed desire to have the young duo play for them.

A big move can make or break a player’s career. But, very frequently, a transfer to the Black and Yellows pays off.

Why Has Bellingham Attracted so Much Interest?

Jude Bellingham has shown this season in the Championship that he can be one of the best players in the world.

The 16-year-old became the youngest player to appear for boyhood side Birmingham City earlier this season; he has since become an integral part of their side. He has shown so much maturity playing in central midfield, but also has the ability to play out wide, or in a more attacking role. With so much diversity, he is an incredible asset; his tremendous passing, as well as defensive contribution, just makes him more desirable.

Looking like a star of the future, Bellingham has caught the Red Devils’ eye as they look to build a title-winning side; he could become a vital part of their team for the next decade.
